Why can't I complete the credit card payment?

If you are unable to complete your order on Amevista with your credit card, it is possible that your card still needs to be activated according to the so-called two-factor authentication procedure or 'strong customer authentication'.

What is the two-factor authentication procedure and how do I have to complete it?

The European Payment Services Directive (PSD2) has changed the way online payments are checked and approved. To make online purchases even safer from 2021, an additional approval is required at the time of payment.

How can I activate my credit card by a two-factor authentication procedure?

This can be done through the bank that issued your credit card. The process is different for each bank so we are unable to give you detailed instructions for your purchase on Amevista.

For example, you may receive a code via SMS or you may be asked for approval through your bank's app.
