If you own a pair of glasses you will be able to see a series of numbers engraved on the inside of the temples, the measurements are given in millimetres.
What do the measurements of the glasses correspond to?
Glasses size measurements are mainly expressed with a series of 3 numbers:
1. Caliber Measurement of the horizontal diameter of the lens at the point of maximum width.
2. Bridge Distance between lenses.
3. Rod Length of the rod.
Example: 49/20/145
Gauge: 49 Bridge: 20 Shaft: 145
Find your glasses size using a credit card
1. Stand in front of a mirror.
2. Place the long side of the card halfway up your nose, the short side should be placed under the bottom of your eye.
3. Where does the edge of the credit card reach in relation to your eye?
If the card exceeds the end of the eye it means that your size is SMALL
47 - 48 - 49 - 50 mm
If the card coincides with the end of the eye it means that your size is MEDIUM
51 - 52 - 53 - 54 mm
If the card does not exceed the end of the eye it means that your size is LARGE
55 - 56 - 57 - 58 mm
